Jupiter Ranch is managed and curated by Sylvie Milman.

 

Born in Quebec City, Sylvie’s professional background includes many years as a paramedic. She has traveled extensively, which has cultivated her sharp perspective on customer service which she integrates into every detail of the Jupiter Ranch experience.

 

“I’m trying to provide something very, very unique, where it’s not about the number of people, but the quality I can provide to the people who are here,”

 

Sylvie moved to Gabriola in 1993 and immediately fell in love with the rustic, pastoral setting of the island. She recognized Gabriola early on as a community that passionately supports the arts. Sylvie established Jupiter Ranch Art Studio in 2007 with the idea of offering unique art workshops to local and visiting artists. Her vision for Jupiter Ranch Art Studio as a place where visitors can develop their creativity and skills, through access to visiting professionals, has taken root and continues to grow.
